A cartridge, also known as a mouthpiece, is an essential component of an e-cigarette atomizer, typically composed of an electronic liquid storage tank and a mouthpiece cover. The cartridge stores a certain amount of e-liquid, which is vaporized into gas by the atomizer when the e-cigarette is in operation, producing smoke similar to traditional cigarettes. The size of the cartridge is usually related to the size of the e-cigarette, with larger e-cigarettes typically using larger cartridges, which means that larger cartridges store more e-liquid and have a longer lifespan.
Cartridges are usually classified based on flavors and concentrations. Flavors can be based on the taste of different cigarette brands, while concentrations are generally divided into high, medium, and low. The higher the concentration, the higher the nicotine content.
It is important to note that cartridges are consumables, and under normal circumstances, when all the e-liquid in the cartridge has evaporated, it should be discarded and replaced with a new cartridge, similar to replacing ink cartridges in inkjet printers. Although some smokers may choose to purchase separate e-liquid and add it to the cartridge to save costs, using the same cartridge for a long time is not hygienic, as cartridges are prone to bacterial growth, which may lead to oral bacterial infections. Therefore, to protect health, it is recommended to regularly replace cartridges and avoid attempting to add e-liquid on your own.
