On September 29th Eastern Standard Time, 2022 Global Tobacco and Nicotine Forum (GTNF) came to an end at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, District of Columbia. Zinwi is the only Chinese e-liquid provider that is invited to give a speech at the forum. Dr. Liu Meisen, the Vice President of Zinwi, attended the forum and shared the insights on industry development.
Looking back at the history of tobacco industry, "harm reduction" is continuously at the center of industry development. Today, how to face the challenge and drive the industry forward is a mutual question for all industry stakeholders.
Deepak Mishra, the President of Americas at Philips Morris International (PMI), shared in his speech: "we have spent $9 billion on the research and development of new tobacco products. Currently, 30 percent of the PMI revenue comes from new tobacco products. By 2025, we will have 50 percent of the revenue come from new tobacco products."
Kingsley Wheaton, the Chief Growth Officer of British American Tobacco (BAT), said in his keynote speech: "we must do three things: publicize the benefits of harm reduction tobacco products known to the public, demonstrate the science behind it, and make sustainable changes." He also mentioned: “Today, 1/ 6 of the BAT’s revenue comes from new tobacco, and it is estimated that by 2030, consumers of new tobacco products will reach 50 million.“
Dr. Liu Meisen, the Vice President of Zinwi, said in his keynote speech: "Compared with traditional tobacco, e-cigarette products are much safer. toxics and harm reduction are the main driving force for technological innovation in the industry. Since its founding, Zinwi has focused on technological innovation of harm-reducing e-liquid.” At the forum, Dr. Liu shared his insights on "low temperature atomization", "next generation nicotine salt", and "the match between e-liquid and e-cigarettes".
